Tent Pitching / Siting requirements
In order to meet the requirements
for a 3m spacing between tents, during Whitsun week,
July & August we require that you leave a 1.5m
strip down either side of your pitch which must
be left free of cars, tents, gazebo’s &
other equipment. (For the remainder of our camping
season you will be given a double size pitch)
On our pitch sizes sheet you will find a table of
“usable pitch” sizes. Please ensure
that your tent & other equipment needs no more
than the usable area given, as alternative accommodation
is not available if you cannot fit onto the usable
area of the pitch. If your pitch is on the
central island there must also be a 3 m gap from
the tent to the fence, though this area may be used
for tables, chairs,barbecues etc).
We will accept alternatives when you arrive on site
providing you comply with a minimum 3m gap
between tents & 3m to the fence on the central
island If your pitch is next to one of our
3m spacing strips or a pathway the inter-tent spacing
needs to be 6m across the strip. These 3m gaps that
have been left between some pitches these may not
be used by anyone, especially not for parking or
storage
Tents must be 2m from the road, but this is the
space usually used for car parking. (Please see
diagram below (not to scale)
Caravan Siting
requirements
During Whitsun week, July & August there must
be a 6m gap between caravans of which 3m may be
taken by an awning or tent of less than 4.6 sq.
m. but again the 1.5mstrip around the pitch must
be left clear (Caravans/awnings must also be 2m
from the road – the space often used for car
parking and on the central island they must be 3m
clear of the dividing fence).
On our pitch sizes sheet you will find a table of
“usable pitch” sizes. Please ensure
that your caravan, awning and other equipment is
no bigger than the usable area given, as alternative
accommodation is not available if you cannot fit
onto the usable area of the pitch .
Unless we agree an alternative, your caravan will
have to be on the left side of the pitch looking
from the road with the wheel axle parallel to the
road and the side of the caravan 1.5m from the pitch
boundary. (Please see diagram below (not to scale).
Where 3m gaps have been left between pitches these
may not be used by anyone, particularly excluding
parking or storage.
